Can you imagine yourself being held hostage for days at gunpoint. Would you be brave enough to try to escape or just remain silent and hope for help to come.

One Florida woman named, Carolyn Reichle endured two days of beatings and gun threats at the hands of her then-boyfriend, and convicted felon, Jeremy Floyd.

On the third day, Carolyn decided to do something to escape so she came up with a plan. It was a risky, dangerous plan, but the abused woman couldn’t stand staying in that horrible situation, she’s ready to take the chance.

The 28-year-old woman convinced Floyd to take her dog to the vet clinic. Floyd agreed, though traveled with her, a loaded gun in his pocket.

On the way to the clinic, Floyd pointed the gun at Carolyn and threatened to kill her and her family. Once they arrived, she went to the bathroom and there likely wrote the note that saved her, slipping it to one of the vet’s staff members.

The note read: “Call the cops. My boyfriend is threatening me. He has a gun. Please don’t let him know.”

The worker took the note seriously, contacting the authorities immediately and telling them all she knew. Then the staff pretended to continue with their duties, Reichle and Floyd waiting in a side room together.

Soon, the cops showed up and placed Floyd under arrest. He is now being changed with a number of crimes, including domestic violence, aggravated assault with a firearm, false imprisonment, simple battery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The victim was taken to the hospital and has been treated for her injuries —  including her head wound, black eye, bruised arms and legs, and scratches on her hands and fingers.

Thank goodness Reichle mustered the courage to devise a plan to save herself. Equal thanks go to the staff, for knowing exactly what to do and how to go about it.
