Violence is always a terrible thing. But something that makes me even more distressed is violence in relationships. To physically hurt the person who loves you unconditionally is unforgivable, which is why it’s so sad that it’s not an altogether uncommon thing.
Violence shouldn’t be considered as a way to relieve your anger or to solve a situation. Many people suffer from the violence in their relationships. To physically hurt someone who loves you is unforgettable, which is why it’s so regretful to see it becoming more and more normal these days
In the video below, the situation is even worst; violence carried out in broad daylight. The shocking CCTV footage shows a man ruthlessly hitting his defenseless ex-wife on the head as she sits on the floor.
With what appears to be rolled up papers, the man continues to beat the woman as she yells for help.
As the ex-husband pauses his attack, another man can be seen running full steam towards the bully and taking him down.
According to one of Turkey’s largest newspapers, Hürriyet, the incident occurred shortly after the couple had been to the Court of Justice in Istanbul to open divorce proceedings.
The have-a-go-hero sends the man crashing to the ground as other passers-by begin to pile on top of him.
One witness said: “The man was beating his wife, she was crying and screaming,” The Sun reported.
“Then a passer-by knocked him down.”
Another said: ‘It was terrifying. The woman was yelling the place down. She was trying to protect herself. This kind of violence in unacceptable.’
The passerby then held the man down while more people rushed to the scene. Local media sources say the suspect was arrested by police when they arrived.
The video has since been uploaded online and soon became a viral hit. Many people believe the abuser got what he deserved.
We can’t imagine how this would’ve ended up if the passer-by didn’t intervene at the right time. What do you think? What would you do in this situation?
